Its summer time and is time for the town fiestas. Each weekend the fiesta moves around the island to a different town. The most popular fiestas in June are the following:
Fiesta de San Juan - There is a special night called La noche de San Juan around the summer solstice on the 21, in which the local people make great bum fires and go for a swim at night. Another fun tradition that goes back hundreds of years.

The Tour has decided to get it on in the perfect conditions that Famara beach offers for kitesurfing. Come and watch the best kitesurfers in the world do some crazy stunts that will make you say WOW!!!!

Windsurfing World Championship Tour PWA
During the end of June or early July, the best windsurfers of the world come to the island each year to show off some incredible windsurfing stunts. The event takes place in Playa de las Cucharas in Costa Teguise which offers the perfect spot for windsurfing; A calm wave sheltered bay with an outside reef which can get big waves and perfect for ripping and loops jammming sessions.
